DJ AROCK: California, United States; In the crowded Southern California DJ scene, a lot of obstacles can stand in the way of making a name for yourself and standing out from the rest. One DJ has not let any of these roadblocks slow him down, and at the age of 21 is already well on his way to becoming one of the best in the turntablism game. Born and raised in San Diego, DJ AROCK has been refining his craft since the age of 12. Influenced by the likes of DJ Q-Bert, DJ A-Trak, DJ AM, DJ Rectangle, DJ Vice and DJ Skee, AROCK absorbed all the inspiration and crafted his own unique take on DJ'ing and mixtapes. But inspiration means nothing without action. Immersing himself in the music, AROCK soon forged his skills at editing and mixing and built his arsenal of DJ'ing equipment. At 20, AROCK joined the team at San Diego's Z90.3, where he still remains a prominent DJ and the youngest member of the team.
